Designing the interior for THE BANK night club was a creatively rewarding project.  The space was huge so I felt it was important to design pieces that didn't get swallowed up by the large spaces. I wanted to do big sculptures that lit up and came off of the wall and pillars that invaded the space of the people in the club while still maintaining continuity with the accompanying  fixtures. This wasn't too difficult as I was the only one designing the space and there was no existing design aesthetic.

The floor lamp to the left measures eight feet tall and stands next to the DJ booth.

The sculpture to the right is made up of fourteen light fixtures fashioned from galvanized plumbing and electrical fixtures.  The owner of the club had a problem with too much light. To address his concern, I  used forty watt tubular bulbs and wired them into a 1000 watt dimmer so that it could be turned down to a mere glow for low light events.

    THE Men's room

The men's room at THE BANK was barren when I started. The ceilings were high and the floor was unfinished concrete. The owner was considering a number of floor coverings. I took a good look at the floor and thought, "This is so rough and industrial, I think we should just poly urethane it and show off it's real charm." That is what we ended up doing and it looks great.

I made the urinal partitions out of 18 gauge sheet metal and 3/4 inch galvanized plumbing. I attached it to the walls with flanges and used fencing hardware to pull the metal tight to the frames.

I framed the mirror out with similar piping and had a piece of mirror plexi cut for he mirror itself. There was a safety concern using glass.
